Finally after all these years of absence D’Angelo got his act together and is now touring Europe. Last monday was a fasle start cause the concert was cancelled due to a foot injury, but last night he gave a great performance. His sound is less smooth and more funkier en rougher than ever. He really seemed to enjoy himself and the band, including former The Time guitartist Jesse Johnson, was thight. A lot of old stuff was played and the few new songs are more soulrock/pschychedelic-orientated (one of the encores was a cover of David Bowie’s Space Oddity). He still looks great, maybe even better (older and wiser). Quiet a comeback! Here are some concert highlights:

In the 80’s Jesse Johnson scored a hit with Sly Stone.
