It’s official: after an abscence of way too many years, D’Angelo will be performing in Amsterdam Paradiso on january 30 & 31 2012!

In 2002, Q magazine named him in their list of the “50 Bands To See Before You Die”, and in 2003 Voodoo was ranked at number 488 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Pitchfork Media rated it at #44 on their list of the best albums of the 2000s.

The Amsterdam Dance Event is in town so that means that this weekend you can party your ass off. You can find me tonight in the Sugar Factory, to hear classic & soulful house from Phil Asher, Quentin Harris and David Morales.

Pitchfork describes Lana del Rey as: “Old-school Hollywood glamour meets splice-friendly YouTube culture with a fair share of coquettish attitude and smoke-parlor Stevie Nicks vocals thrown in.”
