I’m in Berlin right now, the city where club culture is a way of life. I dived deeply into the Berlin underground clubs, ignoring the famous Watergate and the even more famous Berghain/Panorama Bar. Friday night i had a nice evening at The Salon zur Wilden Renate, and Saturday i had an even better evening at About:Blank. Both clubs are in Friedrichshain (Eastern part of Berlin) close to the Spree river and not so far from Berghain. The soundsystem and the garden at About:Blank is better than at Renate, but they both ave a great athmosphere and book cutting edge dj’s. They are definitly a good (and cheaper) alternative to the Berlin superclubs.
On this photoblog about Berlin there’s a collection of club entrance doors in the daytime. Sometimes you won’t even recognize where you were last night!
